COMMITTEES
The PTSA has a committee for everyone to volunteer their time and
talent. No matter how much time or how much talent, we need you!!!!
Arts in Education develops arts programming that enriches curriculum and
expands student appreciate of the arts, including, but not limited to,
music, dance, literature, and visual arts.
Book Fair
The Book Fair is the main fundraiser for the media center. The money is
used for library books, videos, bookmarks, displays and more. This
support makes the library a more inviting place and helps draw students
in, which helps to get a book in their hands!
Environmental
The Environmental Committee develops, implements, and supports
initiatives that protect and enhance the school and community
environments.
Fundraising
The Fundraising Committee develops fundraising programming, as
needed, to support overall PTSA program priorities.
Health & Safety
The Health & Safety Committee educates students, parents, school
personnel, and the community about health needs and concerns of
children and youth. This committee assists with 6th/8th grade scoliosis
screening, supports the school clinic, and assists with implementation of
Red Ribbon Week activities.
Hospitality
The Hospitality Committee establishes a friendly, comfortable
atmosphere at designated PTSA meetings and events. The Committee
also decorates the school in observance of various holidays.

Literacy
The Literacy Committee works in conjunction with school personnel to
promote reading and writing. This committee works closely with Carol
Bates, Hull Media Specialist. Some past projects have included, Reading
Across America, essay contests , book exchanges, book review and
clubs. Committee members will help with writing contests in the fall, Read
Across America in Spring and brainstorm ideas to promote literacy at
Hull Middle School.
Membership
The Membership Committee promotes PTSA membership, giving
everyone in the school community an opportunity to belong.
Parent Communication and Outreach
The Parent Communication and Outreach Committee is responsible for
implementing comprehensive strategies to maintain effective
communications and develop productive relationships with parents,
school personnel, PTSA members, and the community.
Reflections
The Reflections Committee implements the National PTA Reflections
program and competition.
Spirit Wear
The Spirit Wear Committee develops and implements a comprehensive
spirit wear sales program, to promote school unity.
Student Achievement
The Student Achievement Committee develops and implements
programming to recognize student academic achievements.
Student Social
The Student Social Committee is responsible for developing and
implementing activities that enhance student socialization within the
school environment.
Other
Legislative Liaison
The Legislative Liaison provides the membership with information,
materials, and training, to become effective advocates for children’s
rights and education, as outlined by Local, State, and National PTA
Legislative Priorities.
Scrapbook Volunteer
The Scrapbook Volunteer develops a scrapbook of PTSA and school
activities, in compliance with district, state, and national guidelines and
requirements.
Hull Middle School PTSA is made up of many different committees that serve many purposes throughout the school.
